While on a trip, you can follow some tips that will leave an impact on your children and in turn make them responsible travellers. Here are tips from our side:
- Travel by public transport wherever possible and reduce your carbon emissions. Be green!
- When hiring a tour planner/organizer, choose carefully and wisely. Be sure to choose activities where children can enjoy and also places that are suitable for them. Ensure children are enjoying while not disturbing other travellers.
- Prefer buying local products and services. Make children experience the new cultural aspects fully. Let them have a new experience through travel! Do not buy products made from endangered species or illegal ancient artifacts and illegal copies of big brands (definitely not something you should teach kids!)
- Learn some of the basic conversation words in the local language. Kids tend to pick up languages real quick, let them try, see them charm the locals! 🙂
- “While in Rome, do as the Romans” holds true in today’s world too. So make sure to dress appropriately as your dressing can be offensive to some cultures. Read up well before you’re going to a new place!
While everyone is enjoying, make sure the kids learn the importance of responsible travelling and opening up to new cultures!
