As we talked about the Zoonosis project last week, MIEF made further progress in that field. Earlier this year in July 2013, MIEF organised the National Conference on Scientific Awareness on Zoonotic Disease control in Metropolitian cities in Delhi.
The conference had presence from imminent doctors ( Dr KK Agarwal, Dr Lal Krishna) both from the animal and human medicine. There were panel discussions were on topics including Bacterial Zoonotic diseases, Viral Zoonotic, Mycotic Zoonotic diseases, Food-borne and also emerging Zoonotic diseases. There was also an addressal of the current Zoonotic disease scenario in India. The conference was very well received as doctors in different inter-functional fields could come together on a common platform to discuss developments and learnings.
