According to a Global Youth Online Behaviour Survey by Microsoft, 53% of children have been bullied online in India, which places it at the third behind only China and Singapore. The survey also uncovered the fact that even though these children want to talk to their parents about the issue, only 29% of them said that their parents have talked to them about protecting themselves online.

When it comes to protecting children from cyber-bullying or other cyber-crimes, each one of us has a role to play. It is a shared responsibility of the parents, teachers, law enforcement, government. Set up ground rules for your children when it comes to using internet. Make sure they are aware of the ‘dangers’. Bullying is very harmful for a child, be it online or offline. Talk to your children and make sure that they don’t have to go through any of it!

We hope this post serves as a reminder for all of us to be careful and aware of keeping our children safe from every new danger!
