Jammu University to organise workshop on Sharda script

Millennium India Education Foundation, a Delhi-based non-governmental organisation in association with the Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu, will organise a workshop on “Revival of Sharda Script” at the varsity from August 24 to 28.
The workshop aims at reviving the dying Sharda script and increasing capacity building of scholars, whose services could then be utilised in translating various manuscripts written in the script.
Dr SS Toshkhani, Dr Kirti Kant Sharma, HL Wangnoo and Dr Uday Kakroo will be the resource persons for the five-day-long workshop.
