Millennium India Education Foundation (MIEF) is proud to announce a new storytelling in education partnership with Peerbagh. This collaboration brings together Peerbagh’s expertise in storytelling and MIEF’s focus on working with children and schools. Together, as partners, we expect to create compelling stories that help in capacity building for encouraging creative thinking in classrooms.
Through this partnership, we aim to inspire innovative storytelling for children, leveraging the latest technologies and creative techniques. Our focus will be on using digital tools to promote traditional storytelling forms from the Indian subcontinent and apply them in today’s learning environments. This will connect with children and our audiences on a deeper level, and build ongoing interest in stories, reading, and books.
“We believe that by working together with Peerbagh, we can produce content that resonates with students and teachers. With the pandemic behind us, we have observed a need to go back to oral and artistic storytelling techniques to engage children. This will create innovative learning methods for teachers, which is something we have been focusing on for over two decades,” shared Dr. Kakroo, Director of MIEF.
To kickstart this initiative, Peerbagh and MIEF are launching a digital storytelling in education program, The Blue Sky for teachers on February 24, 2023 and on March 3, 2023. Educators can learn storytelling frameworks, and expect an expert presentation using South Asian storytelling forms which can be readily applied in classrooms.
