Dear readers and art lovers,
As we’ve been saying this week, the art exhibition Koshur Fusion has been on for free viewing in Delhi. Today is the last day for open viewing, and we invite you to spend your evening amongst the beauty that the various artists have created.
Dr. Kakroo, director MIEF already announced on his Facebook wall that, MIEF will work on a coffee table book curating these wonderful art pieces from various artists. We will also (in the future) host a virtual art gallery on our website here to enable our readers to access art easily.
The 5 day exhibition of art works (paintings, sculptures and photographs) opened at Arpana Art Gallery Siri fort Institutional Area from 23-27th March 2014 11am-7pm .
25 artists from the J & K state including those of Internationally acclaimed artists Kashmiri Khosa,Veer Munshi were a part of the event. The exhibition was opened by Padmashri ,Dr. BC Roy National Awardee & DST science communication National Awardee Dr K K Aggarwal. Other eminent people present on the occasion included world renowned art critic Padmashri Keshov Malik,Nutrition expert Dr Shikha Sharma, Kathak Exponent Danseu sisters Nalini Kamalini,Poetess Rohni Geeta, former Editor Statesman P N Kotru and B B Pandit Member Finance Prasar Bharati. The opening function was attended by more than 300 eminent people from all walks of life including art lovers.
This is for the first time that such a large number of artists from J & K state participated in a group show in the country and MIEF is very proud of hosting them on a common platform! This project has been supported by the Ministry of Culture, government of India.
